Christopher Donnelly concentrates his practice in business litigation, particularly in the fields of intellectual property (trade secrets, license agreements, patent, trademark, copyright), technology, securities, contracts, corporate control and governance, unlawful competition, false advertising, antitrust, professional malpractice and business torts. Since co-founding Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar, LLP in 1991, Mr. Donnelly has tried numerous cases, spanning hundreds of trial days, and successfully argued many preliminary injunction, summary judgment and other dispositive motions in venues around the country. This substantial courtroom experience, all in intellectual property and other business cases, distinguishes his credentials from other commercial litigators. Mr. Donnelly has been recognized by judges and clients for his ability to present cogently technological and other complex matters.
Mr. Donnelly graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and earned his law degree, with distinction, at the University of Michigan Law School. He served as a law clerk for a year in the nation’s premier commercial trial court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, where he worked for the Honorable Lawrence W. Pierce. Mr. Donnelly was Judge Pierce’s law clerk for an additional year in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
