A.J. Tibbetts, a partner at the U.S.-based intellectual property law firm Wolf Greenfield, focuses his practice on protecting software-implemented technologies. He brings his deep technical background to representing clients in industries ranging from speech recognition, big data analytics, operating systems, and networking and telecommunications, to software-driven biotechnology innovations in bioinformatics and medical devices. He counsels clients on IP best practices, transactions including acquisitions and licensing, patent litigation, and challenging the validity of patents at the patent office through post-grant proceedings. A.J. works with many international and publicly traded companies, but also devotes part of his practice to counseling small and growing companies on IP strategies that will help them achieve their own unique business goals. A.J. received his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his JD cum laude from Suffolk University.
